SHALOM! I’M ISABEL LEVIN (THEY/SHE).
I’m a queer, nonbinary, Ashkenazi Jew and artist. My philosophy around unlearning and undoing systems of oppression is contextualized by these identities. I experience queerness and Judaism together as life-affirming sources of joy and as spiritual, political sites of revolution.
The queer Jewish diaspora has long understood the empowering nature of this combination, and I am deeply inspired by those who spoke and wrote proudly, made art and music, and organized and protested about it before me. I created Queer Jewish Living in hopes of contributing to the growing volume of resources made especially for our community. I hope you find something that resonates with you!
